Arlington is where we are based. Our office is on Little Road, our crews live here, and a good share of our work comes from people who were referred by a neighbour two streets over. That is not a marketing position — it is just what happens when a roofing company stays in one city for over a decade.

Arlington at a glance

Tarrant County, Texas

Housing stock
Enormously varied. Post-war ranch homes in the older central neighbourhoods, 1980s and 1990s subdivisions across the south and west, and new construction in Viridian to the north.
Hail exposure
Arlington sits squarely in the North Texas hail corridor. Spring storms tracking east across Tarrant County regularly cross the city.
Local factor
Tarrant County's expansive clay soil moves through the year, which shows up in roofs as separated flashing and cracked mortar at chimneys.

Roofing an Arlington home

Arlington's housing stock spans roughly seventy years, and the roof on a 1968 ranch off Park Row has almost nothing in common with the roof on a 2019 build in Viridian beyond both being asphalt.

On the older central and eastern neighbourhoods we are usually dealing with roofs that have been through several cycles of repair, sometimes a second layer laid over the first, and attic ventilation that was adequate to the standards of the time and is not now. Getting the airflow right during a replacement frequently does more for the life of the new roof than upgrading the shingle.

The 1980s and 1990s subdivisions across south and west Arlington are a different job. These are largely original roofs or first replacements, on simple gable and hip layouts, and they tend to reach end of life as a whole street at once. If three houses on your block are re-roofing, yours is worth a look.

Newer construction to the north is mostly builder-grade material installed to a price. It performs adequately until the first serious hail event, at which point the difference between standard and Class 4 shingles becomes very concrete.

What Arlington storms do

Spring storm tracks across Tarrant County put Arlington in the path most years. The damage pattern we see most is not dramatic — it is granule loss across the south and west slopes, broken seal strips along ridge lines, and dented soft metals at vents and gutter aprons.

None of that is visible from your driveway, which is why so much Arlington hail damage goes unclaimed until the roof starts leaking two years later and the reporting window has closed.

Why local matters for a warranty

A manufacturer warranty is only worth what the installing contractor is worth in five years' time. After every major hail event, out-of-state crews work Arlington neighbourhoods hard and are gone by the following season.

We have been here over a decade, we are CertainTeed Select ShingleMasters, and we are ten minutes from most of the city. If something needs revisiting, we revisit it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Roof Experts actually based in Arlington?
Yes — 4275 Little Rd #202, Arlington TX 76016. Not a satellite office or a marketing address. Our crews are local, which is why we can usually get to an Arlington emergency call the same day.
Which Arlington neighbourhoods do you work in?
All of them. We work everywhere from the older central neighbourhoods around Arlington Heights and Interlochen through the south and southwest subdivisions to the newer builds in Viridian, plus Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego.
Do older Arlington homes need a different approach?
Often, yes. Homes from the 1960s and 70s frequently have attic ventilation built to a standard nobody uses now, and sometimes more than one layer of roofing. Both need addressing at tear-off or the new roof will not reach its rated life.
How fast can you respond to storm damage in Arlington?
Arlington is our home city, so it gets our fastest response. For active leaks we run 24/7 emergency tarping, and we can normally inspect within a day of a storm passing through.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Arlington?
Residential re-roofing in Arlington generally requires a permit. We handle that as part of the job — pulling permits and arranging inspection is our responsibility, not something we hand back to you.
